Illegal immigrants waiting for work outside of the Home Depot in Laredo, Texas are reportedly pretty excited about this new wall project they’ve been hearing about.

“They always need us for any big construction projects around here,” said Jose Amarillo, a 28 year old man originally from Sabinas, Mexico. “Sometimes we can get work for weeks at a time.”

“New construction is great for me,” said Alonzo Verde. “If the project is really as big as they say, I might send money home for my brothers to come too. This could really help with the medical bills for my mother.”

While it is too soon to say when construction will start, all signs point to this being a big win for impoverished immigrants and their families.
