Facing criticism for a lack of specifics on their new health care plan, Republicans had a strong message to Democrats today- “If you don’t like our new plan, come up with your own.”

In a late afternoon press conference, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, “It seems all I’m hearing all day long from my friends across the aisle is criticism that we don’t have all the details of our new health care plan finalized yet.  Don’t they understand that passing a law like this, one that impacts millions of Americans, is complicated?  If they have such a good idea for a new health care plan, why don’t they submit their own proposal.”

Asked by a reporter for his response, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was quoted as saying, “Are you fucking serious?  Ever heard of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare?    Republicans are going to repeal our health care law and then blame us for not having a plan when they repeal it?  Sometimes I wonder why I get out of bed in the morning.”

A leaked Republican National Committee memo described a planned strategy shift from “Repeal and Replace” to “Repeal and Delay” to “Repeal and Blame Democrats” was working to perfection, thanks mainly to President Elect Trump’s Chief Marketing Officer Kellyanne Conway’s countless television appearances.

For his part, President-Elect Trump tweeted, “Democrats are all talk on heath care, no action.  They have no plan and just complain.  Weak.  And sad!”
